CN E-Blast 11-07-2018

Greetings Cedars Brothers & Sisters,

Do you have an hour or two to help someone in need? Check out the link to the LIVE EBlast below or the PDF attachment for opportunities to serve others in the Tri-City area.

This week we’re highlighting the Winter Relief Shelter formerly known as Emergency Warming Center. The shelter will be open every evening from Nov. 15th through March 15th, so that’s 121 days of volunteering opportunities that are needed to be filled; from set-up, making and serving meals to helping hand out sleeping bags, supplies, and cleanup. For more information please call the Compassion Network Office. The shelter is also in need of LARGE (100 oz) cans of soups, chili. stew, etc. that can be prepared in case of emergency situations.

The shelter currently need volunteers from 5:30 - 9:00 PM beginning Thursday, 11/15 & food donors from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Volunteers are also needed from 5:30 - 7:00 AM beginning Friday, 11/16.

We will be tabling again this Sunday for Hearty Harvest. If you haven’t signed up and received your grocery bag, please stop by our table in the courtyard between services. We will collect your bags of groceries and gift cards on Sunday, November 18th.
