Welcome to Lower Elementary! Check out the current events here!
ministering together & community
God has given you, the parents and guardians, the privilege of being the primary nurturers in your child’s spiritual formation. Our aim is to support you through prayer, resources, equipping, and community.
We love to create opportunities for the kids & families to connect outside of Sunday mornings - like hiking, neighborhood movie nights, service project, and community Bible studies. Keep watch for events through fliers or here on the site!
health & allergies
Protecting the kids and the ministry team’s health is important to us. If your child has had a runny nose (greenish or cloudy), fresh cold 5 days or less, fever in the last 24 hours, rash, cough, diarrhea or other signs of illness we ask that you do not bring your child to the ministry area. Thank you for helping to spread the health!
Sometime we provide a small snack/drink in class. Be sure to include dietary restriction on your child’s registration so it gets printed on their nametag. (If kids have any treats/drinks offered downstairs please ask them finish before entering class.)
learning environment
We use games, crafts, response stations and small groups to help the kids encounter God’s truth, grow relationships, and provide space to respond to the Holy Spirit. We look to provide the best learning environment for the specific needs of the children. If your child has special needs or accommodations speak with your child’s teacher or contact our director.
what to bring
Bible, Notebook, & Water Bottle - Please label all items. (If your child does not have a full Bible that is age focused please let us know – we’d love to have the honor of gifting them a Bible from class.)
content
At this age we focus on helping kids to learn the scriptures through the “Big God Story” and know they are a part of it. We train them on how to read/apply the Bible. The take home resource is “At Home Weekly”. It’s designed to reinforce you as primary by allowing your family to have time in God’s Wordbefore yourchild attends church each week.It will provide you with ways to introduce The Big God Story and have age-appropriate conversations with your little one as you prepare him/her for what she will be experiencing in church. parent support
Keep a look out for our Parents’ Night Out and Spiritual Parenting Workshops! If you are looking for a small group, how to get involved, or greater connections with others, we can help. And one of our greatest honors is to pray for you! Please let us know if you have specific prayer requests.
