WELCOME

Cedars Kids’ on Sunday Morning:

10:00 am Sunday School:

  • Nursery: Newborn - Toddler
  • Preschool - Rm 113: 2 - 4 years
  • Kindergarten - Rm 113: 4 - 6 years
  • 1st - 3rd Grade - Rm 115
  • 4th - 6th Grade - Rm 114
  • Middle School/High School: 6th - 12th Grade (check with Youth)

11:30 am Dicsipleship in Community Hour:

  • Children are welcome to stay with parents during our "Beyond the Sermon" small group time, Adult Bible Study or any Seasonal class that is being offered during this time (some classes may have child care available).
  • Check out our events page to see if any seasonal classes are being offered for children or if any adult classes have child care available.

Check-in begins 15 minutes prior to the 10:00am service time.

Kids begin in the main service during worship time with their family and then after will be dismissed to go into their classrooms.

When you arrive:

  • The Kids’ Check-In Area is located at the classrooms in the children’s area. When you arrive to the main lobby you will be greeted by the welcome team. This team can help your entire family find what you need (including coffee and morning treats).

  • At the 10:00 am Service, Cedars Kids Areas are open right after worship time in the main service. They will then be dismissed to go to their class.

    • Kids’ Areas based on age/grade

    • Time includes games, message focus, group time, and prayer

    • All children stay with their leaders until you pick them up at the end of service.

Family Worship Sundays

Family Worship Sundays happens the 3rd Sunday of each month for 10:00am service (except on major holidays). During the Family Worship time, kids in Preschool and older begin with families in the main service for family worship (including communion) and to participate in the monthly family focus (once a month). The kids are blessed and prayed for before they're dismissed to go with their leaders.

We believe family worship time is extremely important. This is a great time to teach each child the importance of worship and communion.

LOCATION OF CEDARS KIDS’ AREAS:

  • First Time Kids’ Check in is located at the guest counter in the main lobby OR at the children’s classrooms.

  • Nursery space is located in the main building first floor near the sanctuary across the hall from the kitchen.

  • Preschool/Kinder - Elementary (1st-6th) spaces are located in the main building first floor down the hall.

Parents are always welcome to accompany their children to kids areas. Please obtain a parent guest pass at the check-in counter / and permission from the classroom teacher.

Our Volunteers:

Cedars has an amazing team ready to minister and care for your children! Each adult volunteer has completed an application, background check, and fingerprinting. We place each adult and student volunteer based on their gifting and ability. Family Ministry is central to Cedars Church; we encourage parents and grandparents to volunteer in kid services. We want to provide family members with great opportunities to model faith and be a larger part of their child’s faith community. Contact Annie if you are interested.

Annie Rosado is the Director of Children’s Ministry. She has a huge heart for Jesus and a passion to support families in raising this generation for Christ. You can catch her and her husband, around campus teaching, having fun with kids, and always with a specialty coffee in hand!
